I ended up finding someone who’s going to charge me around $600 WITH work included and not the other $2,400, which was considered completely unnecessary and ridiculous. Also when I asked for my car back, they charged me for checking the car which they never said they’d charge me for. They were rude about me questioning it, said they even gave me a discount because checking a car is usually ~$100. Terrible place, enjoy your 1 star review.
Dave and his staff are courteous and professional! He explains the issues and scope of work in detail and never makes you feel obligated or pressured. He is always willing to work with you and give you an honest assessment of the problem. It's the only place I trust to get my cars service. Take it from someone who travels 1.5 hours for service.
Finding a power steering pump for my car online and in stores was maximum $300. However they wanted to charge me $600 for it. I thought maybe it’s because work was included with that price, nope. That was separate. This place is busy and has plenty of new cars going in and out, seems like either they didn’t want to deal with me or they just generally take advantage of rich people who can careless of what something costs. Guess that happens when you buy a German car.
This place overcharges to the extremes. When something goes wrong, they prefer to change everything rather than what's broken. My power steering pump stopped working, asked them to fix it or see what’s wrong with it. They checked it and wanted to fix that and everything else attached to it. Wanted to charge me over 3k in total. I mean really? For a power steering pump? They also have a good rate per hour, but then you check the part estimates, they’re insane.
As a retired auto tech I tell you. They're HONEST! They repaired a problem I couldn't, and charged a fair price. I hope I never need them, but that's where I'll go if I do,and they're not close to my home.
Love Autobahn! Dave and his staff are friendly and professional. They are helpful and knowledgeable. Won't bring my VW anywhere else!
Autobahn was highly recommend to me 5 years ago by a local body shop as the place to go for BMW repairs. Dave and his crew are great, the only shop I would ever trust to work on my car. Why anyone would drive to dealer in Freehold or Eatontown Is beyond me.
